Martha is a South London-based presenter, curator, DJ, and sound artist who has carved out an oasis all her own in the city’s vibrant and crowded electronic music scene. Using her weekly NTS radio show as a launchpad, Martha has fine-tuned her storytelling skills, interweaving sounds from UK drill, club, techno, southern US rap and more into sonic narratives that unmistakably bear her stamp yet always create space for the artists she features to shine.  We could think of no better person with whom to restart our Off Peak series.

48k’s own Miracles graciously provided us with an introduction, and Martha kindly set to work putting together a playlist pulled straight from her own listening habits over the past year. We chatted with her about the soulful playlist she turned in, her experience as an NTS mainstay, and her goals for 2021 and beyond.
