These are 2018's 'Albums of the Month' as presented on my Radio Highlife show on Worldwide FM. Through doing these shows, I realised I'm drawn to music that isn't easily categorised, that combines influences from around the globe, where old worlds meet new, but often which cannot be associated with a specific time or place. Jon Hassell used the term '4th World' to describe the fusion between traditional/local and modern/global and this is as good a description as anything. Regardless of concepts, this list is a bunch of great long-players I've enjoyed listening to this year. Love live the album!
