the top 10 songs of the 2010s by Zoe Muth

by Duncan Cooper
Across three releases in the front half of the 2010s, Zoe Muth honed a modest, open style of country and folk-rock that, for my dollar, cemented her as the single most impressive singer-songwriter of the decade. Better-known names in the space might have achieved poppier highs this decade (Kacey Musgraves) or pushed the bounds of genre and industry more aggressively (Sturgill Simpson). But nobody's stories break your heart — so casually dead-on — as Muth. An all-time great.
