Percs & Benefits - March 2026
Kinda late to post this Percs & Benefits recommendation list just at the end of the month. But, it's okay since we can cover more diverse styles within. Some of this curation is outside the club tracks area, as you can see on the cover of this post (you can preview the sounds as well), we featured Hearn Gadbois this time.
Hearn is no stranger in experimental and ethnomusicology area. Coming from Czech Republic, his percussion mastery has its roots in Middle Eastern rhythms and has been experimenting beyond rules, playing in free-improv method. According to his liner notes; FEEL, his new album, is the unwitting travel journal of an intense period of upheaval, displacement, and culture shock.
In his composition, percussion is all the key, with most of instruments were made by himself, he also combined it with daily objects, household stuffs. Of all tracks, "Nutty Bubbles" is the interesting one--you can listen and guess which objects generating the bubbly sounds.
Mårble is the alias of musician and multi-instrumentalist Anton Glebov. His catalogue can be found anywhere in any experimental labels on Bandcamp. This time, on INDUSTRIAL NATURE (released by HAIR DEL. Records), he chose field recordings approach to deliver psychedelic and tribal impressions in audio format.
Norway-based DJ Sprinter is releasing three-tracker dance floor weapon, two originals and a refix of overmono's Daisy Chain. "Rumble Break" can be a bass anthem although produced in minimalistic layer; strong kicks and big reverb made it sounds heavy.
Stay tune for next month recommendation from Percs & Benefits!
