i've explored less new music in 2018 than any previous year that i can remember; not sure why. i guess just less time to devote to it, which makes me very sad. this is a list of my very favourite releases from 2018 - various styles, representing a good portion of what i listen to depending on mood. there's a mixture of complex electronics, propulsive rhythms, sneering attitude and dark, bassy menace. i love all these releases very much indeed
