BitterCaress is a French artist, Montreal-based, DJ, producer, label manager, and events curator.

Where intensity collides with sensuality, where raw power intertwines with emotional depth, BitterCaress shapes a sound that is both fierce and delicate. Her journey into music began long before she ever stepped behind the decks. With a classical background, having studied piano at the conservatory in Paris, she grew up with music filling her world. But upon arriving in Montreal in 2014, she discovered techno and the intensity of the dancefloor. First a raver, then an event organizer, she spent some time absorbing the culture before making her mark behind the decks in late 2018. From that moment, her path was set.

On the dancefloor, BitterCaress crafts a world where "Bitter" and "Caress" coexist. The Bitter side comes alive through driving basslines, rolling rhythms, and trippy textures, fully embracing the energy of fast and raw techno. It is her darker side, relentless, and untamed. But then comes the Caress, emotional, built on dreamy pads and trance-infused melodies that bring a sense of intimacy and depth. Her sets create a space where movement is instinctive, and emotion is inevitable, captivating both the body and the soul.

In Montreal, she has become a key figure in the underground scene, performing at iconic venues such as Stereo Nightclub, the Society of Arts and Technology [SAT], and Piknic Electronik, as well as at standout events like Noreiner, OCTOV, and Exposé Noir. Having shared stages with Amelie Lens, Anetha, Nur Jaber, Adiel, François X, Mac Declos, Julian Muller, Laure Croft, DINA, and VEL, among many others, she has carved out her place in the contemporary techno landscape. Since 2021, BitterCaress has been making her mark on the international scene.

Her mixes for BCCO, RAW, Fast Forward Productions, Groove Magazin, The Brvtalist, to name a few, have helped define her sound across borders. Since 2022, she has been touring annually, performing across Canada (Vancouver, Toronto) and continuously expanding her reach in Europe. Over the years, she has played in Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Spain, and the United Kingdom, each new city adding another layer to her journey. In 2025, she is preparing to take a new step in her career with her debut as a producer and a definitive return to Europe.

Beyond the dancefloor, BitterCaress is deeply committed to using her platform for a greater purpose. From 2019 to early 2023, she curated the Mixing for a Cause podcast series, providing a space for artists to raise awareness about meaningful causes. Since 2020, she has also been managing MFC Records, a label and event series dedicated to supporting both newcomers and established artists, with all proceeds going to carefully selected non-profit organizations. For her, music is more than just sound, it is a tool for connection, expression, and positive social impact.

Driven yet delicate, raw yet emotional, BitterCaress continues to carve her path, creating a universe where the power of techno meets the intimacy of storytelling.
