<p>"When Jay asked me to contribute to The Observatory's mix series, I took it as an opportunity to focus solely on Australian artists creating music and field recordings that are built around this amazing landscape I call home. It's overwhelming if you look at the wealth of talented musicians and labels in Australia that create ambient style music, so I decided to create a mix based around artists that I know personally or have directly influenced my own music productions. Even hyperfocusing on this group of musicians was still challenging, as there was a lot of great music to choose from. But, I feel the outcome is sonically coherent and also quintessentially sounding of the bush and coastline meeting together. The tracks mixed are mostly long-form pieces, so I let each song breathe and melt slowly into one another with a meditative mindset. A big thank you to Jay at The Observatory for giving me this opportunity, Marcus at Holosuite Mastering for the magic audio sprinkles, and all artists featured that have inspired me along my own creative journey.
